The Fantasticks is a romantic fable about a boy and a girl whose love grows stronger with each passing season in their life. With memorable music by prolific composers, Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, audiences have been swept off their feet for over half a century. Since its opening in May 1960 at the Sullivan Street Playhouse in New York, and its subsequent revival at the Jerry Orbach Theatre, The Fantasticks remains the longest-running production of any kind in the history of American theatre.
